Volunteer firefighters from four area departments responded late Sunday (March, 15, 2026) to a structure fire in Westville. Mark Ames, Chief of the Westville Area Fire Protection District, says the blaze in the 100 block of Bowman Street involved a detached garage. He says it took about twenty minutes to bring the fire under control.
Westville firefighters were assisted by units from the Lynch, Catlin and Georgetown departments. Chief Ames added there were no injuries.
