The Danville Fire Department is excited to announce the application dates for the position of Probationary Firefighter.
We are seeking motivated, disciplined individuals who are committed to serving the community and performing at a high level in a demanding and rewarding profession. Firefighting is more than a job, it requires dedication, teamwork, and commitment to continuous training and personal development.
The application period will open April 1 and close April 30, 2026.
Applicants must complete a structured testing process that includes a Physical Abilities Test, a Written Examination, and an Oral Interview.
Applications can be picked up in person at Department Headquarters, 1111 N. Griffin Street, or downloaded via the City of Danville’s website.
