Danville, IL – DLO Musical Theatre invites audiences to experience a vibrant, family-friendly musical event as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat comes to the stage this April.
Performances will take place April 10 and 11 at 7:30 PM and April 12 at 2:30 PM at the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at Danville High School. Tickets are available now and at the door, priced at $23 for adults and $7 for students and children.
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this beloved musical has become one of the most frequently performed shows in the world, celebrated for its catchy score and universal themes of hope, resilience, and forgiveness.
Based on the biblical story of Joseph, the show follows a young dreamer whose journey takes him from favored son to betrayal and hardship, and ultimately to triumph in Egypt. Told entirely through song, the musical blends a wide range of styles—from calypso and country to rock and pop—creating a high-energy theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.
Directed by Kendall Jeonson, with music direction by Caitlin Richardson and choreography by Kady Richey, this production features a talented local cast with a dynamic ensemble and children’s chorus.
