You would have thought it was already Easter Sunday with all the beautiful dresses being worn at Friday (Apr 3rd) evening’s Daddy-Daughter Dance & Dinner at the Laura Lee Fellowship House put on by the Aniyah Davis Foundation. State Rep candidate Mary Catherine Roberson said as it was getting started that the evening was both in Aniyah’s memory, and planning for the future.
AUDIO: Trying to raise funding for the Aniyah Davis Foundation; which was founded by Aniyah’s dad Philip, stepmom Yolanda, and mom Andrea. They’re trying to scholarships; and they gave away a scholarship this year to help fund a Show Choir student, because of Aniyah’s love of the state.
Aniyah’s father Phillip recalled for CIMG that his daughter was always fond of Daddy-Daughter dances.
AUDIO: When she was young, and we used to go to daddy-daughter events. Then they stopped having them in Danville, and she was like, “Daddy they should start having those again!” And I like it because it brings everybody out.
