THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RELEASE
On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the Vermilion County Sheriffs Department was contacted by a relative of 30-year-old Timothy Strader of Danville. The relative reported that Strader had not been heard from in approximately 10-12 days. Sheriff’s deputies took a missing persons report and began an investigation to locate Strader.
On Monday, April 6, 2026, sheriffs department investigators searched a property in the 1700 block of West Williams Street in Danville and located human remains. Those remains have been identified by Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden as Timothy Strader.
An autopsy is scheduled for April 7, 2026. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details can be released at this time. Sheriff’s department
investigators were assisted by crime scene investigators from the Illinois State Police.
