THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Danville, April 8, 2026 – As election seasons approach, the City of Danville wants to ensure residents, candidates, and property owners clearly understand the rules for displaying political signs within city limits. The following summary explains the current ordinance in straightforward terms.

Political signs must meet the following standards:
• Size limits

• Condition and safety
o Signs must be properly secured and maintained in good condition
o Signs may not be torn, damaged, or unstable
• Design restrictions
o Signs may not be animated or illuminated
