The Westville Area Fire Protection District was assisted by five other fire departments on Saturday (April 25th), in battling a structure fire along Illinois Route 1 in Belgium, at Georgetown Road and Lyons Road.
The existing departments included the Catlin Fire Department, Georgetown Fire Department, Tilton Fire Department, Ridge Farm Fire Department, and the Lynch Area Fire Protection District.
Firefighters battled the major fire for about four hours, from around 2 PM to around 6 PM.
