Three new probationary police officers were sworn in to the Danville Police Department Tuesday (April 28th) morning. In the City Council Chambers, Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr swore in Jace Waterman, Trey Bryant, and Sean Mullin.

Afterwards, Chief Yates stated that he was very satisfied with this trio, as they head for training at the Illinois State Police Academy.
AUDIO: They absolutely rose to the top during the testing; did excellent jobs in the interviews, their backgrounds were great. We’re really looking forward to see how they progress through their training, and ultimately with the goal of joining the ranks of our officers.

Chief says they’ll be getting down to the Police Academy to start the training procedures this weekend.
