Bruce Springsteen appeared shirtless in a new Instagram post from wife Patti Scialfa, who just gave "The Boss" a quarantine trim. Next to the photo on her officialrumbledoll page, Scialfa addressed hair stylist Chris McMillan, writing, "Hey Chris McMillan working on being a badass with the scissors…. thanks for sending the instructions and the clippers!!! Also I had just finished dying my hair!! We have the beauty truck in action at Stone Hill Farm!!!!!"
Springsteen has been holed up on his Rumson, New Jersey farm, and recently revealed he's been writing new music while in self-quarantine. Last we heard from him regarding new music was that he was prepping material for a new E Street Band album — but there's been no update on it.
Depending on whom you believe, Springsteen and his team have been working on compiling a new box set — with rumors circulating that it's going to be a career-spanning Tracks 2 collection, or a Born In The U.S.A.-era box set. No word from Springsteen on what's in the cards for later this year.
A highlight of Bruce Springsteen's Western Stars movie is Patti Scialfa being featured prominently throughout the album's live performance. During his recent chat at the Toronto Film Festival, Springsteen spoke about what his wife and bandmate brings to the songs: ["As soon as we went to perform it, I said, 'Pats, we should sing these together.' And we've been together a long time. So when we gather around that microphone, oooh (laughs) — there''s a lotta livin' there (laughter) — of all kinds. Y'know, nobody knows me better than she does, so that look in her eyes is frightening (laughter), y'know? But, it's lovely at the same time. We sing together in a way that you can only sing together when you've lived together for that long."] SOUNDCUE (:33 OC: . . . for that long)
