Danville Police Department authorities have confirmed that a 27-year-old Danville man; arrested over the weekend after allegedly abandoning the scene of a single vehicle crash at Henning and Hungry Hollow Roads around 4:45 PM Wednesday, May 27th; is also facing charges from a previous incident. Danville Police are reporting that 27-year-old Devin T. Lowe is facing a battery charge stemming from an incident at the Circle K gas station at 1212 North Bowman; on Memorial Day, May 25th.
Upon arriving at the scene of the accident on May 27th; Vermilion County Sheriff’s officers discovered that the vehicle had been abandoned after apparently striking a guardrail, and the Sheriff’s Department had received a call that the vehicle was stolen.

Deputies responded to a call of a crash with a overturned vehicle at the intersection of Henning Road and Hungry Hollow Road on 5/27/26 at approximately 4:40PM. Arriving deputies found the vehicle to be unoccupied and witnesses stated that the driver fled the scene on foot. While at the scene, the sheriff’s department received a call from the vehicle owner, reporting that the vehicle had just been stolen. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the driver. Devin Lowe, 27, of Alvin was taken into custody at approximately 4:45PM on 5/30/26. Lowe has been charged with theft of the vehicle, criminal damage to property, and aggravated battery.
