THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT RELEASE
Westville, IL – The Vermilion County Conservation District is encouraging teenagers ages 14-18 years to register for a new summer camp program, Trailblazers, that will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 9am-3pm, at Forest Glen Preserve.
The camp will offer a variety of engaging activities that encourage a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Teens looking for an outdoor adventure will enjoy guided hikes through scenic trails, immersive creek walks that explore local ecosystems, and fire-building instruction that teaches practical outdoor survival skills in a safe, supervised environment.
Pre-registration is required with a fee of $35/camper. Registration forms can be found at the offices at Kennekuk County Park or Forest Glen Preserve, or online at https://vccd.org/summer-programs/.
