It was planned for 4 to 11 PM on Saturday (June 20th); and before the 6 PM hour hit, the east side of North Street in Downtown Danville was packed full of people, music, kids playing street hockey; you name it. The new Bresee Bar and Grill was putting on their inaugural Live on North Street event.
Inside a busy Bresee Bar and Grill, co-owner Josh Turner said his wife Deana had ideas. But he never could have imagined something this big, this quickly.

AUDIO: Not this early on. But my wife Deana, she’s really into putting events like this together. So, I figured we weren’t going to make it through this summer without her trying to put something like this together. But she’s really good at it, she’s got a lot of experience. And you can see how well it’s turned out.
CIMG ran into Deana Turner outside on North Street. And with the music of Shotguns-n-Shotglasses in the background, Deana told us this first Live on North Street was definitely exceeding expectations.

AUDIO: I wanted to make a difference in Downtown Danville. So, I wanted to; I just didn’t know it was going to be so soon. (So, we’ve got this great crowd here. Are you already thinking ahead on what you’re learning for next year?) Absolutely. Absolutely. I’ve learned a lot already. Evan though it’s been organized, for the most part; we’re learning. And we want to be bigger and better next year.
Deana said that between now and the fall they will have more live music coming to the Bresee Bar & Grill; with plans for a special atmosphere for football season, with more TVs on the way.
