THE FOLLOWING IS A NEWS-GAZETTE STORY BY JANA WIERSEMA
Courtney Wallace is no stranger to being a small business owner; she and her husband, Brandyn, own Wallace Automotive in Milford and along with a local laundromat.
However, she had the urge to start a venture of her own that she could “have a little bit of fun with.”
“I have always loved coffee,” Wallace said. “So I don’t know, I just, I wanted to have a place that I could go — or that anyone could go, I guess — and get consistent coffee.”
She added that she enjoys “ bougie coffee” at the moment, such as drinks with unique flavors like banana pudding or cookie butter.
Both options are now available at Wallace’s new coffee shop and boutique, The Tailored Grounds. The business, which opened June 13, also offers flavors such as s’mores, dot cake, coconut ube and a brown sugar shaken espresso. It is located at 113 S. Chicago St. in Rossville.
