THE FOLLOWING IS A PROJECT SUCCESS OF VERMILION COUNTY RELEASE
Project Success students had an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and get their hands dirty through our Kindergarten–6th grade Garden Project, made possible through a partnership with Hope Unlimited Church, who generously allowed us to use their gardening space.
During the project, a Danville Police Department officer by the name of Brandon Williams stopped by while on duty to encourage our students, talk with them about their gardening efforts, and show support for the work they were doing. The officer visited during a time when he was not actively responding to calls, making this a wonderful example of community connection and an act of kindness while continuing to serve and protect our community.

Our students were excited to interact with a local officer and see firsthand that our community helpers are invested in encouraging and supporting our youth. We are thankful for our site coordinator Jazmyn Gaines Tharp and staff member Vicki Clark for taking the lead on this project!
We are incredibly thankful to the Danville Police Department for taking a moment to connect with our students and to Hope Unlimited Church for providing a space where learning, growth, and community partnerships can happen.
Thank you for helping Project Success grow in the garden and beyond! 🌱
