An indoor athletic training facility is being proposed for this building in the 800 block of West Williams Street, Danville.
DANVILLE — A new athletic training facility could be coming to the city.
The Danville Area Planning and Zoning Commission will consider resident Brittani Phelps’ request for a special-use permit to operate an athletic training facility at 801 and 805 W. Williams St. in a B1-neighborhood business zoning district.
The commission also will consider adoption of a 2050 Comprehensive Plan Update for the city of Danville.
The commission meets at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the Robert E. Jones Municipal Building, 17 W. Main St., Danville.
Phelps owns the building that has been four separate stores, including Logan Appliance. She said they plan to make it one big building.
She adds that it’s an old building, going back to the Abraham Lincoln days based on an old newspaper they found inside the building.
