The Illinois Broadcasters Association has announced the finalists for its 2026 Silver Dome Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting. Staff members from Central Illinois Multimedia Group radio stations in Danville received 5 total nominations in three different award categories.
The stations received two nominations in the category of Best Continuing Coverage. One for the United Way Radiothon, and another for coverage of Operation Honor Guard’s Day of Giving.
Two more nominations were received in the category of Best Locally Originated Public Service Campaign. One for our Memorial Day Campaign, and a second for the United Way Radiothon.
Finally, a commercial for Dave’s Double Barrell BBQ titled “He’s A Wizard” is a finalist for Best Radio Commercial.
A nomination for a Silver Dome Award means the entry is among the top three in its category in Small Market Radio in Illinois.
The winners will be announced September 30th at the IBA’s Annual Meeting in Springfield, IL.
