The Danville Fire Department handled a call shortly after 8 PM Sunday (Oct 11) evening involving a natural gas leak inside a residence, in the 2200 block of North Vermilion in Danville. DFD has told CIMG that a passerby noticed the odor while outside the home.
All residents and two pets were evacuated from the home safely, and a home next door was also evacuated as a precaution. DFD says the natural gas line was disconnected by Ameren, and that the owner of the home will need to make repairs.
The Danville Fire Department cleared the scene at approximately 9:30 PM Sunday.
