THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Danville, November 5, 2026 – The City of Danville is pleased to announce sidewalk repairs in the 1600 Block of North Gilbert Street. Repairs are scheduled to begin at 6:30 AM on Monday, November 9th, and are expected to continue through to the middle of December, depending on weather. During this time, sections of North Gilbert Street will be limited to one lane of traffic and sidewalks on the west side of the 1600 Block will be closed to pedestrian traffic.
There will be no parking on the west side of the 1600 Block of North Gilbert Street during work hours, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. There will be a high volume of construction traffic during operations. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling near the work zone. Please plan alternate routes to avoid the area if possible. The City of Danville appreciates your patience and cooperation.
