A Vermilion County Circuit Court Judge in Danville has sentenced a man to ten years in prison on drug charges. Thirty-year-old John E. Forman pled guilty to Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver. The charge involved between 15 and 100 grams of Fentanyl, a Class X felony which is punishable by from six to thirty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Some other counts against Forman were dismissed as part of the plea agreement. Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said the evidence showed that on several occasions Forman sold a substance containing fentanyl to an undercover agent with the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group (known as V-MEG).
