Danville Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning (May 24, 2020) in which a man was shot in the neck.
Sergeant Eric Olson of the Danville Police Criminal Investigation Division says officers were dispatched to the unit block of Columbus Street for a gunshot victim around 1:45 a.m. When officers arrived they found that a 30-year-old Danville man had been shot in the neck.
Sergeant Olson says witnesses on the scene said that a white male suspect was seen at the time of the shooting. The victim was transported to a local hospital where no information was available on his condition. The name of the person who was shot has also not been released.
