A woman who was struck by a car in Danville last evening was reportedly attempting to cross a busy section of North Gilbert Street in the middle of the block. The woman was injured when she was struck in the 600 block of North Gilbert. Some people who were sitting outside at a nearby restaurant ran to her aid.
The vehicle involved did stop at the scene. Danville Police are investigating. The woman was taken from the scene to get medical treatment, but her name and condition are unavailable.
