The latest cases are a person in their eighties, one in their fifties, and a person in their thirties. In addition to the 48 positive cases which have been found in the county this year, Toole adds 3,234 tests have come back negative.
Thirty-eight people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Vermilion County this year have been released from isolation. Six remain on home isolation (as of Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2020), three are hospitalized, and there was one death from the virus which was reported earlier in the county.
The latest report says 56.25 percent of the people who have been diagnosed with the virus this year in Vermilion County are females. The other 43.75 percent are males. And 33 of the 48 positive cases involve people under the age of 50.
