A 34-year-old Hoopeston man is facing multiple charges as the result of a reported domestic disturbance. Hoopeston Police were called to the 800 block of East Washington Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday (June 13, 2020). When police arrived they discovered the suspect had already left the scene.
Vermilion County Sheriff’s Deputies located the man and took him into custody. He is being held on preliminary charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Child Endangerment, Domestic Violence and Criminal Damage to Property.
The name of the man is being withheld by our news department pending the filing of formal charges by the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office.
