Vermilion County Health Department announced Friday afternoon that three more cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the county.
The new cases are one resident in the 40’s and two residents in their 20’s.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 3,466 cases from Friday through Sunday, including 69 deaths.
- Friday’s totals were 1,317 new cases and 25 deaths.
- Saturday saw 1,195 new cases and 24 deaths.
- Sunday saw 954 new cases and 20 deaths.
Currently, Vermilion County has 33 active cases, with two people hospitalized and the rest on home isolation. The state has reported a total of 153,916 cases and 7,187 deaths. The seven-day statewide positivity is 3 percent, which is on the rise since throughout last week.
As of Saturday night, 1,342 coronavirus patients were in the hospital in Illinois.
