Danville Public Library is closed now through Wednesday after a full-time employee of the library tested positive for the coronavirus.
Library Director Jennifer Hess says the employee had minimal contact with the public. During the closure, library staff will be sanitizing all surfaces
Digital content and e-books are still available for checkout even while the library building is closed.
The library is expected to reopen on Thursday.
Library staff members follow safety guidelines, including wearing masks, social distancing and disinfecting work areas. Staff are monitoring for symptoms on a regular basis, including temperature checks at the beginning of each shift.
