The Vermilion County Courthouse will be closed tomorrow after an employee in the circuit clerk’s office tested positive for COVID-19.
Circuit Judge Tom O’Shaughnessy said that the employee who tested positive has not been assigned to courtroom duty for the last few weeks, and staff in the circuit clerk’s office is maintaining social distancing and wearing face masks.
All circuit clerk employees will be tested for COVID-19 and staff who came in contact with the employee who has the virus will be expected to observe quarantine rules.
All of Friday’s court hearings will be rescheduled to a later date. Parties will receive a new court date in the mail.
