The Vermilion County Housing Authority has received a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for Parkview Court in Hoopeston.
The grant money will help fund security cameras at the facility.
Congressman John Shimkus (R-Collinsville) and Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy say the community needs to be free from the threats of violence.
