State Senator Scott Bennett is partnering with Community Blood Services of Illinois to host a blood drive in Danville during the second week of September.
The blood drive will take place Tuesday, September 8 through Saturday, September 12 at the Danville Elks Donor Center, 300 E. Liberty Lane. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday, Noon-6 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Saturday, 7:30-11:30 a.m.
The donor center is following recommendations from local, state and federal health agencies to keep staff, volunteers and donors safe. Appointments and masks will be required, and chairs in all areas will be at least six feet apart.
Healthy and eligible candidates can schedule and appointment to donate here. All presenting donors will receive a voucher for their choice of a $10 gift card, which can be redeemed through September 20.
