A Calumet City man has been arrested in Indiana after state police discovered he had two pounds of methamphetamine in his possession.
21-year-old Deonta Grant was pulled over by a state trooper at 6 p.m. Friday on U.S. Route 41 northwest of Williamsport after the officer witnesses him speeding.
Grant admitted to the officer that he was under the influence of drugs. During a search of his vehicle, officers found a small amount of cannabis and a large package of meth, which was later found to contain about two pounds of the substance.
He is being held at the Warren County Jail on charges of possession and distribution of meth, possession of marijuana and driving under the influence of drugs.
