Thanks to a state subsidy, Danville Area Community College is offering a chance for adults to receive their GED at a reduced price.
Laura Williams, the Dean of Adult Education and Literacy at DACC, says the Illinois Community College Board is paying for a portion of the cost to take the GED test.
For a limited time, the GED test is only $40 instead of the usual $120. Night classes start September 14th, and there are day and night online classes.
Anyone interested in the classes can call 217-443-8784 or stop by Adult Education at Prairie Hall on DACC’s campus.
