A teenager and a preschooler are included among six new COVID-19 cases in Vermilion County announced Monday afternoon.
Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the new cases also include one person in their 70’s, one person in their 30’s and three people in their 20’s.
Three of the new cases are connected family-wise to prior cases.
Vermilion County now has 38 active cases, with two people hospitalized. So far, there have been 330 total cases.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,668 new cases Monday afternoon and seven more deaths. The state now has a total of 235,023 cases and 8,026 deaths.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate is 4.1 percent.
