Neuhoff Media Danville has been awarded two first-place honors and several honorable mentions from the Illinois Broadcasters Association’s Small-Market Awards.
Vice President/COO Mike Hulvey has received the top prize for Best Radio Documentary Series for “March Forth Moments”, a weekly feature highlighting good neighbors and deeds in the Danville area.
Former D102 midday host Chad Baker received the award for Best Personality.
WDAN’s Bill Pickett received an honorable mention award for his coverage of the courthouse shooting, while R.J. Crace received an honorable mention for best sportscaster.
D102’s Tom “Tommy B” Barnes received an honorable mention while D102 won third place for station of the year. Danville High School’s Future Problem Solvers team got a third place award for a public service announcement.
K-Rock received third place for Best Promotion, and Chad Baker and Derek Davis won an honorable mention for the Friday Night Lights pregame show.
