The Danville Fire Department is conducting training next week on a portion of Madison Street on Danville’s east side.
Danville Fire Lieutenant Chris McMahon says the portion of Madison Street between Bowman Avenue and Collett Street will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. beginning next Tuesday through Thursday.
Regular motorists through the area are asked to use alternative routes during the day as the training operation is conducted. McMahon says there will be a heavy presence of fire department personnel in the area, and the public should not be alarmed.
The fire department has been conducting training operations this week and at various times this year.
