Three new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Vermilion County.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the new cases consist of one person in their 70’s and two people in their 50’s.
Right now there are 89 active cases locally, with five people hospitalized. 531 total cases have been reported overall.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,477 new cases Monday morning and seven additional deaths, including a man in his 60’s from Ford County.
Currently, the state’s totals are 275,735 cases and 8,457 deaths. The seven-day positivity rate remains flat at three and a half percent.
