Danville Area Community College trustees have adopted a new budget for the fiscal year.
The new budget is $17 million, which college president Stephen Nacco says is three-tenths of a percent higher than last year’s. He does say that the college is receiving more than $100,000 in state grants than it did last year and will take in more revenue in property taxes due to an increase in property values locally.
The tax levy is anticipated to be about 60 cents per thousand, which is less than last year’s rate of 61 cents per thousand.
Trustees also approved a new semi-truck driving simulator.
