Danville Mass Transit Director Lisa Beith says she is looking forward to the arrival of Greyhound buses in the downtown area later this month. A new Greyhound Connect bus line will link riders from Danville with several other Illinois cities.
Greyhound says it is anticipated that the service to Danville’s downtown Richard Brazda Bus Terminal will begin on January 23rd. It will operate 7 days a week with stops in Danville, Champaign, Bloomington, Oglesby, Rochelle, Rockford, Elgin and Chicago.
Beith says the out-bound buses are scheduled to leave Danville at 11:00 a.m. daily. A south-bound bus from Chicago is scheduled to arrive at 1:35 p.m. daily.
Greyhound Connect is not a full-sized bus, but Beith adds they are as large as the Danville Mass Transit buses.
The new Greyhound Connect service will be in addition to the Burlington Trailways Bus Line which stops in the East Gate area of Danville to load and unload passengers.
