Two more Vermilion County residents have died of COVID-19, pushing the local death toll to 11.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says a man and woman in their 70’s passed away from the virus.
Toole also reported 37 more coronavirus cases on Wednesday. Those cases consist of:
- Two people in their 80’s
- Five people in their 70’s
- Three people in their 60’s
- Five people in their 50’s
- Six people in their 40’s
- Three people in their 30’s
- Four people in their 20’s
- Six teenagers
- Three children
Ten Vermilion County residents are hospitalized with COVID-related symptoms. Currently, 188 local cases are active. Vermilion County has had 1,372 total cases.
Statewide, 4,342 new cases and 69 deaths were reported Wednesday. The state’s totals are 335,217 cases and 9,345 deaths. Region 6’s seven-day positivity rate is 7.5 percent.
