The Vermilion County Health Department says 21 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the county.
Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the new cases consist of:
- One person in their 80’s
- One person in their 70’s
- Five people in their 50’s
- Two people in their 40’s
- Four people in their 30’s
- Two people in their 20’s
- One teenager
- Three grade-school-aged children
- One preschooler
- One infant
Currently, Vermilion County has 177 active cases, and 14 residents are hospitalized with the virus. The total number of cases in Vermilion County is at 1,507. The county has a seven-day positivity rate of 7.7 percent. Region 6’s seven-day positivity rate is 7.8 percent.
