Kids in Westville did not have to go door-to-door this year to round-up Halloween treats. Instead, the treats came to them during a Halloween golf cart parade. Jackie Trapp, one of the parade organizers, says the idea for a parade came earlier this fall…
{‘’It got organized right after (the) Labor Day one. We’re all like – okay, we’ve got to do it for Halloween. So it’s been planned since Labor Day.’’}

Westville resident Amy Bates (on left) says organizers were afraid kids were going to miss out on Halloween fun this year….
{‘’That’s the whole reason behind it, yow,’’ said Bates. ‘’It was because of COVID and the kids – it’s kind of iffy if they’re going to even get to do trick-or-treat. So we decided, well, we’ll do it like we did Labor Day. We’ll take the parade to them. This year we’re going to take Halloween to them, too.’’}
Those in the parade decorated their golf carts, and many wore costumes as they traveled through the community tossing candy to kids. The parade featured over 35 units and was sponsored by the Westville American Legion Post.
