The Vermilion County Health Department reported 25 COVID-19 cases combined between Saturday and Sunday.
Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the new cases consist of:
- One person in their 70’s
- Three people in their 60’s
- Seven people in their 50’s
- Three people in their 40’s
- Five people in their 30’s
- Five people in their 20’s
- One preschooler
Vermilion County currently has 185 active coronavirus cases and 1,675 positive cases overall.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced Sunday afternoon that restrictions will be placed on Region 2, which includes Peoria and Bloomington, meaning the entire state now has an indoor dining ban and a reduction in capacity size to 25 people or 25 percent. Some businesses, however, have decided not to follow those rules.
