Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White says the state’s driver services facilities are closed until December 7th due to the increase in COVID-19 cases statewide, but the local office in Tilton will remain open for some services.
The facility on Southgate Drive in Tilton will still be open for drivers to renew their license plate stickers on a drive-through basis, and also for Commercial Driver License road and written exams.
White also says driver’s licenses and ID cards will remain valid through June 1st of next year. CDL holders and commercial permit holders are not included in the extension due to federal requirements.
Illinois residents are being encouraged to renew their stickers, driver’s licenses and ID cards online by going to www.cyberdriveillinois.com.
