Danville is suspending its two-hour downtown parking rule through the end of the year.
The city says customers will be allowed to park unlimited hours in the first two blocks of Vermilion Street and North Street. The change takes effect immediately and will last through January 1st.
Parking will still be monitored in paid permitted lots. The rule change is for patrons and customers only, and store owners and employees will still need to park in designated areas.
