More than four-hundred Vermilion County second grade students will take a journey through the human body thanks to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center’s HALO Project. As part of HALO’s Body Walk event, each child pretends to be shrunk into a small particle and walks or crawls through a larger than life-sized model of the human body. On the rotation of Vermilion County schools, this morning the event was held at Mark Denman Elementary School in Danville.
Amanda Denno, a Danville Area Community College Nursing Instructor, brings her nursing students to volunteer for the program.
Other volunteers for the event include the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, Chittick Family Eye Care, Dr. Randall Ashton, DDS and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful.
