The unseasonably mild weather is expected to continue a few more days, but it will be much colder over the weekend. Temperatures are expected to climb to the mid-60s today, but there is also a chance of rain at times. Then on Wednesday the high temperatures could reach the low-70s.
The extended forecast for the weekend, though, is calling for much colder conditions with a chance of rain or snow on Saturday. Highs Saturday are only expected to reach the upper 30s. And then on Sunday conditions are expected to be mostly cloudy with highs only in the low 40s.
The mild weather lately has allowed things to advance on some outdoor jobs. Some farmers have been getting fields ready for spring planting. And at Danville High School a crew is busy replacing a lot of windows. The school board earlier awarded a more than $1.5 million dollar contract for those new windows.
