Because of the new restrictions on movie theatres across the state due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, all events at the Fischer Theatre have been canceled, and management is not booking new events until they have a clearer picture of the pandemic, its impact on the community and the Fischer’s operations.
Jason Rome, the executive director at the Fischer, says management will continue to make structural improvements to the building as they have been doing since the pandemic began, and also look at implementing new technology where they can bring events to the public.
Rome says donations can be made to the Friends of the Fischer online at the theatre’s website. Donations are especially being encouraged, since the theatre will not be generating revenue through ticket sales.
