The City of Danville says that, due to additional repairs being needed, road work on South Bowman Avenue will continue, and weather permitting, is now scheduled to be completed by December 18. During this time, Bowman Avenue from Commercial Street to South Street will remain reduced to one lane for both northbound and southbound traffic.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when traveling through the work zone and stay alert to changes in traffic control. Traffic control and open lanes of travel will be changed multiple times through the duration of these repairs.
There will be a high volume of construction traffic during operations. Please choose an alternate route to avoid delays.
All of these events are tentatively scheduled, weather permitting.
