Seventy-one new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Vermilion County.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the county currently has 273 active cases, and 28 people are hospitalized with the virus.
The new cases consist of:
- One person in their 90’s
- Seven people in their 70’s
- 12 people in their 60’s
- 14 people in their 50’s
- 12 people in their 40’s
- Seven people in their 30’s
- Six people in their 20’s
- Eight teenagers
- Three grade-school-aged children
- One infant.
The Illinois Department of Public Health says 6,171 people around the state are hospitalized with the virus, including 1,206 in the ICU and 635 on ventilators.
