Danville Police say a local man faces multiple charges after his vehicle allegedly struck three others. Danville Police Commander Joshua Webb says the suspect told police he ran into one of the vehicles because he thought his girlfriend was in it. Police say the two had apparently been involved in a dispute.
The crash left four vehicles damaged with one of them ending up in a yard near the intersection of Voorhees and Jackson Streets. The man who allegedly struck the other vehicles is facing multiple traffic charges. He was also booked on preliminary charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless conduct, endangering the life of a child, criminal damage to property and aggravated battery.
The man’s name was being withheld pending the filing of formal charges Tuesday by the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office. The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 Monday morning.
