Champaign Police say the cause of death of a teenager over the weekend remains undetermined. Police say an autopsy was conducted Monday by the St. Louis City Medical Examiners Office on Luke Miller. Champaign Police Lieutenant David Shaffer says results of the autopsy are pending additional laboratory analysis and testing.
”Until additional testing is complete, a determination as to the death was the result of a traumatic injury or medical issue is not possible. Therefore, no additional comment regarding the cause of death will be made at this time,” said a statement released late Monday by Champaign Police. The statement added the death of Luke Miller remains an open, active investigation. ”Numerous tips and information have been provided to detectives, which has resulted in the identification of both factual and fictional information,” added the statement.
