Bond has been set at $100,000 apiece for two suspects arrested in connection with a vehicle hijacking in Danville. Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says 24-year-old Dwayne Jackson of Peoria and 22-year-old Julia Hill of Chillicothe were arrested in Indianapolis with a vehicle which had been reported stolen in Danville.
Director Thomason says officers were called to the Danville Wal-Mart store in the 4100 block of North Vermilion Street Saturday evening regarding a vehicular hijacking. Thomason says a woman told officers she left her children in her vehicle while she went shopping. At some point a Black male and White female approached the vehicle and forced the children out. The suspects then drove away leaving the children behind. They were not hurt.
Jackson and Hill are being held in the Marion County, Indiana jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle. Danville Police say their investigation into this case continues.
